BLOOD ON THE LEAVES

BLOOD ON THE LEAVES

“The title "Blood on the Leaves" has been used to refer to the lynching of the African Americans in America before the civil rights movement.”

This project is based on 3 pieces from the series of photos entitled Shinfrared:

‘See what is unseen’

Augmented Reality

The ‘art’ of conversation is very much alive. This series depicts its complexities and often circular narratives which seem endless and often even hopeless at times
but balances this realism with a defiant inquisition into the status quo and those who benefit from it.

GRAM-ATICALLY CORRECT

GRAM-ATICALLY CORRECT

Navigate the digital and physical worlds by bringing Instagram feeds to life. This artwork invites visitors to become an integral part of the art itself, breaking down traditional barriers between viewer and creator. Engage in an ongoing dialogue about digital interaction and the blurred lines between our online and offline realities.

STREET ART

STREET ART

In an enchanting homage to the urban landscape, Tobi Shinobi's street crossing murals are a captivating fusion of photography and painting, elevating gritty city scenes into vibrant visual tales. With a keen eye for perspective and a commitment to simplicity, each mural serves as a portal to introspection, urging viewers to reconsider their relationship with urban environments and his latest mural using AR to immerse the viewer even further.

FRACTURED

FRACTURED

This unreleased framed artwork series features collages of instant prints, each capturing unique perspectives on architectural structures. The collages form cohesive images of vaulted ceilings with beams and skylights, highlighting diverse perceptions. Each print offers a different angle or detail, contributing to a full understanding of the space. These pieces emphasize that while many may perceive the same object, it takes a collective step back to appreciate the entirety and interplay of perspectives.
Building on the "Gram-Atically Correct" series, this collection underscores the importance of varied viewpoints within a unified whole.

Equilibrium, my first solo photography book is available to be shipped worldwide or in the Chicago MCA’s Gift Shop.
